Leaders worth following

Who’s Leading You?

December 14, 2018 by Christine Matzen Leave a Comment

Leadership is a living breathing action of a small subset of people.  The group of people are not necessarily CEO’s or business people, in fact my favorite leaders are the ones found on the playground. Leadership is a true caring about others and an internal strength which is radiated to others around you. Leadership is the ability to influence others that would follow you even into the most difficult situations.

I believe that leaders are made and there are many that will develop the skills and the internal strength to grow into the true leadership roles in life.  Leaders must be disciplined and prepare for the “hard calls”.  You can never predict the challenges that could arise on your watch and a dedication to lifelong learning and critical thinking are required.

There is a strong need in our society for leaders worth following.  We need to find our personal strength and be willing to put in the hard work that is required to make meaningful impact in our lives.  I want leaders to design lives that they love full of choices to minimize regrets.

Leadership is equal to influence and responsibility. I challenge you to examine who is leading you in your day to day life.  Is it media, social pressure, consumerism or have you taken control of your influences?
